Large Scale Stump Grinding in North Idaho
Property scale stump grinding for landowners with multiple stumps. We bring the equipment, grind them down below grade, and leave you with clean ground.
Stump Grinding That Matches the Job
We grind tree stumps down below ground level so the land can be replanted, built on, mowed, or just left to recover naturally. Most of our work is on properties with a half dozen, a dozen, or several dozen stumps to deal with. Sometimes the stumps are left over from a logging job. Sometimes they're from old trees the owner removed years ago. Sometimes they're stumps a previous landowner just lived around for years until it was time to deal with them.
Whatever the situation, we bring the equipment, grind them down, and clean up the area when we're done.
Northwest Stump Grinding, Done by People Who Live Here
There are stump grinding outfits that travel up from Spokane and down from Coeur d'Alene to take North Idaho jobs. They charge for the travel, and they don't always know the area or the conditions. We're based here. We work here. When you call us, you're calling people who live in the same woods as you do.
A Note on Job Size
We're built for property scale stump grinding, not for one or two stumps in a backyard. The reason is simple. Hauling our equipment to a job site, setting up, and breaking down takes most of a day. If we drive an hour each way to grind two stumps, the cost to you doesn't match the work, and frankly we'd lose money on it.
If you've got a larger project, multiple stumps, a recent logging job to clean up, or a property full of old stumps, we're your call. If you've got just one or two stumps, you'll be better served by a small operator with a portable grinder.
What to Expect
We start with a Free Site Review of the property to count stumps, look at access, and identify any complications (rocks, irrigation lines, root systems near foundations). We'll give you a quote based on what we see.
When we come back to do the work, we grind each stump down below grade. The wood chips are typically left on site as a natural mulch unless you want them removed. We clean up before we leave. Most of our jobs take one to two days, depending on stump count and access.
